TECH EXPERIMENTS represent an act of questioning the familiar. they demand openness to change, renewal, and the unknown. they confront the status quo in radical ways and are, by nature, defined by uncertainty and risk. within this instability lies their strength—opening closed doors, forming new perspectives, and connecting isolated knowledge to a larger framework. in their outcomes, they drive progress and define our realities.
the third volume of R0 unfolds against technological experiments that challenge conventions across electronic music and club culture. to realize this idea sonically, we invite artists who push technical boundaries in deeply personal ways. CONFUSION (SK Eleven, Vacuum), COSTANZA, OBSCUR (Moving Pressure, NewRyhthmic), PAUL HAUCK (KSR), and RLK18 (R0) will define the techno floor of the night.
in the club environment, the translation of experimental approaches finds a new platform in BLENDE HUB, the sub-label of INSTINKT LAB. through both releases and events, BLENDE explores unconventional club music, presenting it across diverse, multidimensional listening and performance settings. for the third edition of R0, BLENDE will curate the experimental floor and craft its sound together with residents 04061, 314A, HOHE (LIVE), and FFORM.
artistically, TECH EXPERIMENTS is completed by the visual art of 2MS (Dan Tombs). working with a highly technical, hardware-focused approach, Dan has collaborated with artists such as Jon Hopkins, Fred again.., Gold Panda, and Midland. his visual rendering of sound introduces an additional spatial dimension, creating a fusion that extends far beyond the sum of its individual elements.
across almost every discipline, humans reveal themselves as creatures of habit. with this edition, however, we encourage a conscious openness toward new, unpredictable impulses—an active decision to embrace unfamiliar forms of stimulation and expose oneself to the unusual.
